HALOGEN-FREE GRANULATES (HFFR)
Halogen-free granulates (HFFR) are produced from raw materials that do not contain chlorine, fluorine, bromine, or iodine. The properties of halogen-free compounds are modified through the addition of flame retardants and processing aids. Unlike PVC, during a fire these materials burn at higher temperatures, and the gases released are transparent, non-toxic, and non-corrosive. The emitted smoke does not hinder evacuation and does not form, when combined with water, compounds that could cause burns or corrosion of equipment. Halogen-free compounds comply with the new CPR cable classification and are the best solution for public utility buildings.
